Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio focusses on 10-week courses. Please select your preferred weekly session (1 lesson per week for 10 weeks).

For those who would prefer to practice yoga more frequently, we offer fortnightly or quarterly subscriptions. These are available for Level 1 students and above that wish to attend more than 1 class per week. Discounted rates apply as well as unlimited access to term break classes.

What level am I?

Beginners

This course is for those who are new to Iyengar Yoga. Students can then continue on in a Level 1 class.

Salamba Sarvangasana I - Level 1 Iyengar Yoga

Level 1

Students need a minimum of 10 weeks Iyengar yoga experience. Classes will include shoulderstand and start to build a foundation for headstand.

Salamba Sirsasana wall support level 2 iyengar yoga

Level 2

Students need a minimum of 1 year Iyengar Yoga experience. Classes include headstand and shoulderstand.

Urdhva Dhanurasana level 3 iyengar yoga

Level 3

Students need a minimum of four years of regular yoga attendance at Iyengar Yoga classes. Your home practice will include inversions and backbends.

Bakasana advanced iyengar yoga

Advanced

For senior students and teachers with many years of yoga experience. Please contact the studio before attending.

Supta Padangusthasana I iyengar yoga led practice

Led practice

A led practice is a yoga session which lies somewhere in between a class and a home practice. The teacher will lead you through a sequence, calling out relevant points to observe, and demonstrating important actions or how to best use a support.
