What is Iyengar Yoga?
Iyengar Yoga emphasises precision of a great number of asanas and through its practice you can achieve better strength, balance and focus. A full-schedule 10-week term in Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio takes students through every category of asana to give you a more balanced practice. Outside of the scheduled term, our yoga studio offers additional classes, intensive workshops and retreats.
How to get started
During Covid, we require all students to book their place in our classes. Since we must limit class numbers, we encourage all students to book in for the full term. If you are a new student and would like to try one of our classes first before committing, please contact us
Do you offer casual attendance or trial classes?
Yes you can attend classes casually, or come along for a trial class! Just let us know your name and which class you would like to attend by sending us a message here: Contact us
Do you offer private classes?
Our experienced teachers are available for private Iyengar yoga sessions. If you would like to make a booking for a private session you can talk to your preferred teacher, or alternatively send us an email via our contact page with your preferred day and time and we will arrange one for you.
What classes are offered in between terms?
Between 10-week terms the studio runs a slightly reduced timetable. There are many opportunities to join a casual class. No booking is required, and classes are available for all current students who have completed a beginners course. If you have an active subscription, you may attend the number of classes that your subscription allows.
