Supta Padangusthasana I iyengar yoga led practice

Led practice

A led practice is a yoga session which lies somewhere in between a class and a home practice. The teacher will lead you through a sequence, calling out relevant points to observe, and demonstrating important actions or how to best use a support.

What is Iyengar Yoga?

Expect to get all the health benefits that yoga has to offer you. Iyengar Yoga emphasises precision of a great number of asanas and through its practice your body will align to its natural wellbeing. A full-schedule 10-week term in Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio takes students through every category of asana to give you a more balanced practice. Outside of the scheduled term, our yoga studio offers additional classes, intensive workshops and retreats.

How to get started

Beginning in 2018, we’ve introduced more flexibility in payment options that help you customise your yoga training schedule. Students can now pay for their yoga in 3 ways:
– Subscriptions (ideal if you want to attend more than 3 classes per fortnight)
– 10-week course (ideal if you want to attend one class per week, at a fixed time)
– Casual payment (ideal if you won’t be able to attend a full term, or will be away for much of their subscription period)

FAQ

Do you offer private classes?

Our experienced teachers are available for private Iyengar yoga sessions. If you would like to make a booking for a private session you can talk to your preferred teacher, or alternatively send us an email via our contact page with your preferred day and time and we will arrange one for you.

What classes are offered in between terms?

Between 10-week terms the studio runs a slightly reduced timetable. There are many opportunities to join a casual class. No booking is required, and classes are available for all current students who have completed a beginners course. If you have an active subscription, you may attend the number of classes that your subscription allows.
