Carla began her yoga practice while living in Boston, initially to get through the long, cold winters. Yoga soon became an essential part of her life, offering not only physical benefits, but a philosophy that enriched how she approached her life.
While living in San Francisco she continued her practice and workshops with teachers from across the U.S.
Returning to Australia she joined the local Iyengar Yoga community, completing teacher training and an ongoing mentorship with senior teacher Pixie Lillas. She is a certified Level 1 teacher and member of Iyengar Yoga Australia.
As a teacher and life-long student, she describes her practice as a ‘joy and inspiration’, and believes everyone has the capacity to continually learn, discovering new physical and mental abilities in themselves.
