August Teacher Development Workshop with Pixie

Teacher Development workshops are open to all certified Iyengar Yoga teachers with Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Certificate. The purpose of the workshops is to further develop and hone teaching skills and practice awareness for certified teachers.

You will work together with other teacher colleagues to explore deeper aspects of practice and expand the art of teaching through experience.

Each teacher development weekend will cover a wide range of asana to deepen our understanding of how to practice and then see how that understanding can be translated into teaching our students with greater clarity and confidence.

Dates:
August 26 – 27, 2023

Times:
Saturday
6.30 – 8.15 am – Led practice
1.00 – 4.30 pm – Asana theory and practice, some remedial work, and discussion

Sunday
7.00 – 8.45 am – Led practice
11.00 am – 1.00 pm – Teaching with feedback from Pixie
2.30 – 3.45 pm – Therapy discussion and/or general Q and A, review of the weekend
3.45 – 4.30 pm – Restorative and pranayama

Availability:
The workshop is available online and in person. Note that in-person will give the greatest benefit. If online, try to have at least two people in the same room for most sessions to facilitate hands-on practice as well as observation of other practitioners.

Eligibility:
This workshop is intended for certified teachers of Level 1, 2, or 3.

Cost:
Total cost for the weekend is $340.
